What a wonderful night on Friday.
I was invited by some clients (now good friends) to come over and have a Robbie Burns night, enjoy some Haggis, steak pie and enjoy a social evening.
These are clients that I helped get relocated from Scotland, thus the Haggis and Robbie Burns theme.
Sitting around talking the evening away it was with great pride that I thought about how two of the families in the room are people that I helped relocate from Scotland and Wales. Both families were moving without really knowing alot about the local area other than having a relative living near here.
It was a fabulous evening with Angie cooking up a storm for us all and it made me think about why I love this job so much.
Networking is key for me, introducing two families that have relocated here simply means great things, diversity in our community just being one of them.
Seeing that my guidance and knowledge helped these two families opt for Sidney and the Peninsula as the places to raise thier families was certainly a moment of pride and awareness of why I love my work so much.
The Haggis was not bad either!!
